Chris Loper has been coaching foil for five years. He has a full roster of students who compete regularly in tournaments in Georgia and around the Southeast.

Students Bill Lanier and Carlos Balhana finished the 2006-2007
fencing season ranked first and second in the D & Under Foil category of the
Georgia Division. They finished second and fifth in the Mixed Open Foil
category.
Chris has been fencing foil for twelve years and is an A-rated fencer. He has competed in many national tournaments and was the 2005 National Championfor men’s foil in the 40-49 age category.
Chris was born in Macon, Georgia and went to undergraduate and graduate school at UGA. His day job is designing and maintaining networks for Delta
Airlines. He is married to Susan Loper and has a sixteen-year-old son, James.
Chris enjoys badminton, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and chocolate desserts.
